Sweet and Toasty Almonds

Sweet and Toasty Almonds

Instead of the usual treat made with whole almonds, this one is made with sliced almonds, a welcome change. Great to munch alone with a cup of tea or coffee, or a glass of wine.

Supreme Almonds Gold Series

  • 3 cups Zenobia Supreme Almonds
  • 1 large egg white (about 2 tablespoons), at room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • pinch kosher salt

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Place the almonds on a cutting board and coarsely chop.

Place the egg white, sugar and salt in a stainless steel bowl and gently whisk to combine. Add the almonds and coat well.

Transfer to the prepared sheet and arrange in a single layer. Place in the oven and bake until toasted, about 20 minutes, turning and tossing every so often. Immediately loosen the nuts with a spatula and set aside to cool.
